Dan Harrington was born on December 6, 1945 in Cambridge Massachusetts, he is a professional poker player known for winning the Main Event World Series of Poker in 1995!

Harrington in his career has two WSOP bracelets and nearly $ 6 million in live tournament winnings! He chose his own nickname as "Action Dan " but has a conservative style of play and defensive! He is the cousin of professional golfer Padraig Harrington and American football player Joey Harrington.

Before becoming a professional poker player Harrington was practicing law, and and it is a curious fact that while at Harvard he played Poker with Bill Gates. Besides playing poker professionally Harrington is also an adjustment in the stock exchange and still has his own company called "Anchor Loans. " Besides his two wins in the WSOP Main Event harrington also won a World Poker Tour title by joining Doyle Brunson, Carlos Mortensen, Scotty Nguyen and Joe Hachem, for they were the only five players to accomplish this feat!
