Eugene Katchalov Wins Event WSOP 2011
Eugene Katchalov Wins $122,909 on Event 5:
The Ukrainian-born Eugene Katchalov captured his first World Series of Poker bracelet. He did so late Saturday night at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, winning event no. 5 ($1,500 seven-card stud). This $1.5k 7-Card Stud tournament was stacked with quality players. Katchalov had to battle his way past the likes of Shaun Deeb (15th), Andy Bloch (14th), Ylon Schwartz (11th), Ali Eslami (7th), and Eric Buchman (3rd) in the latter stages.
