Humberto Brenes was born on May 8, 1951 in San Jose, Costa Rica, he is a professional poker player with two WSOP bracelets.

Brenes began his career playing baccarat, and only later started playing tournament poker in 1974, teno become a regular player in 1988 and arrived at a final table of the WSOP which finished in 4th place and won $ 83.050. Its two WSOP bracelets were won in 1993 in limit Texas hold 'em and pot limit Omaha. Brenes is also part of Team PokerStars.
