State of Nevada legalized online poker:

The state of Nevada is the first to have regulations for online gaming, on Wednesday the Nevada Gaming Commission approved the laws in order to play online poker in the state. The proposal was approved unanimously and thus permits to operate online gambling within the state, at present there are six companies that have already submitted their applications for licensure: Cantor Gaming, Shuffle Master, International Game Technology, Bally's Technology, South Point and Caesars Entertainment.

It seems that the new laws require companies that wish to operate in the state to control the age of the players effectively and to verify the location of the players before granting them access to games.

In addition to these precautions, the sites will have to be very visible fees, data collection, court where future conflicts will be resolved among other things.

Companies operating in the state and still have no license will be investigated under the new law.

"I think it lifts everything to another level," said Michael Lipparelli the Gaming Control Board.
